Workshops are a vital, hands-on component of the Earth Precision Agriculture Conference, offering interactive sessions focused on a specific theme, technique, or emerging area of interest. These sessions are designed to be exploratory and community-building, providing a space for deep dives, practical demonstrations, and lively discussions.

By organizing a workshop, you can create a dynamic environment to test new ideas, foster collaboration, and build a community around a shared interest. Workshops encourage a variety of submission types, including short papers, position papers, and demos, making them an accessible platform for a wide range of contributors.

We invite passionate experts from all sectors to propose and lead workshops that will engage and inspire our diverse community of researchers, innovators, industry leaders, and practitioners. If you are looking to facilitate an in-depth exploration of a key topic in precision agriculture, we encourage you to submit a proposal.

Workshops offer a dynamic space within the conference to explore emerging ideas, foster collaboration, and connect diverse perspectives across the agri-food ecosystem. We invite proposals that spark discussion, share early research, showcase innovative applications, or build new partnerships around digital transformation in agriculture. Submissions are encouraged to align with, but are not limited to, the conference’s cross-cutting themes of sustainability, resilience, and food security.

Leading a special issue is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of research and build visibility within your field. While it requires dedication and organizational skills, it can be a rewarding experience for both established and emerging researchers.

We especially encourage proposals from collaborative teams that combine experienced editors or senior scholars with early-career researchers, providing mentorship, shared learning, and diverse perspectives.

Ideal workshop leaders typically demonstrate:

  • A strong interest and track record in the proposed topic area.
  • Experience (or a clear plan to gain experience) in coordinating peer review or managing academic projects.
  • The ability to engage a broad network of researchers and practitioners.
  • A commitment to running a fair, inclusive, and timely review process.

To ensure a clear and consistent submission process, please adhere to the following guidelines for your proposal document. Your proposal should be a single PDF document of 2-3 pages and include the following sections:

  • Title and Abstract: A concise title for your Special Track and a 200-300 word abstract that summarizes the topic, objectives, and intended audience.
  • Rationale and Objectives: A brief explanation of why the topic is timely and relevant, and what you aim to achieve with the workshop.
  • Timeliness and Relevance: A statement on the novelty of the topic and its significance to the precision agriculture community.
  • Organizer(s) Biographies: Brief biographies (150 words per organizer) of the individuals who will be leading the workshop.

The Earth Precision Agriculture Conference is committed to the success of our Special Tracks. Our dedicated team will provide comprehensive support to ensure your track is professional, visible, and impactful. This support includes:

  • Dedicated Web Design Team: A professionally designed webpage for your Special Track on the official conference website.
  • Graphic Design: Custom graphics and promotional materials to enhance your track's visibility.
  • Integrated Communication: Promotion of your track through our official communication channels, including newsletters and social media.
  • Submission and Review System: A complete submission and peer-review management system to handle papers and abstracts for your track.

In this partnership, the responsibilities of the workshop leadership team will be to:

  • Develop a Call for Participation: Create a detailed call for participation specific to your workshop's theme, outlining the types of submissions sought.
  • Promote the Workshop: Collaborate with our team to publicize the event and attract high-quality submissions and participants from your network.
  • Oversee the Review Process: Manage the peer-review process for your workshop to ensure the quality and relevance of the content presented.
  • Proposal Submission Deadline: April 1, 2026
  • Notification of Acceptance: April 15, 2026

All accepted full and short papers from the conference will be published in the conference proceedings. The best papers from each conference will be considered for publication in special issues of partnering journals, provided they meet the scope and quality requirements of those journals.
