Tutorials are a cornerstone of the educational mission at the Earth Precision Agriculture Conference. These sessions are designed to provide high-quality instruction on established methods, essential tools, and emerging technologies that are shaping the future of agriculture. Tutorials are focused on teaching and skill-building, offering attendees a unique opportunity for structured, hands-on learning.

We invite recognized experts from academia, industry, and government to propose and lead tutorials that deliver significant value to the agricultural community. If you have deep expertise in a specific area and a passion for teaching, this is your opportunity to empower newcomers, students, and professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to excel.

We are seeking proposals for tutorials that are educational, engaging, and relevant to the precision agriculture community. Tutorials can be introductory, intermediate, or advanced, but should be focused on practical application and knowledge transfer.

To ensure a clear and consistent submission process, please adhere to the following guidelines. Your proposal should be a single PDF document of 2-3 pages and include the following sections:

  • Title and Abstract: A concise title for your tutorial and a 200-300 word abstract that summarizes the topic, what will be taught, and the target audience.
  • Target Audience and Prerequisites: A description of the intended audience (e.g., beginners, data analysts, agronomists) and any required prerequisite knowledge or skills.
  • Tutorial Structure and Duration: A detailed outline of the tutorial's content, including a timeline, a description of the teaching methods (e.g., lecture, hands-on exercises, live demos), and the proposed duration (e.g., 1.5 hours, 3 hours, one day).
  • Technical Requirements: A list of all technical requirements for attendees, such as necessary software, programming libraries, or hardware.
  • Presenter(s) Biographies: Brief biographies (150 words per presenter) highlighting their expertise, teaching experience, and qualifications to lead the tutorial.

All tutorial proposals will be reviewed by a committee of experts. The review process will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance and Value: The importance and timeliness of the topic to the precision agriculture community.
  • Clarity of Learning Objectives: The clarity and feasibility of the tutorial's educational goals.
  • Presenter Expertise: The qualifications and teaching experience of the presenters.
  • Potential for Engagement: The quality of the plan for delivering a hands-on, interactive, and engaging learning experience.
  • Proposal Submission Deadline: April 1, 2026
  • Notification of Acceptance: April 15, 2026

Tutorials are educational sessions and do not involve the submission of a peer-reviewed research paper. However, an extended abstract for each accepted tutorial will be published in the official conference materials to provide visibility and a record of the session.
